5-a-side Champions !
Congratulations to our 5-a-side teams. The intermediate team fought back after a setback in the league stage to win by a single goal in the final to become Battalion Champions. The Senior team also did weel coming in as runners-up in their competition. Well done to all.

Its Party Time!
The Company Section had its annual Christmas Party last Friday. There was the usual mix of madness, games, food and the camp video. We started with an old favourite - musical chairs - eventually won by Greig. Next it was the Newspaper Quiz where the S2 group won followed by the mad balloon chase game.
After a paper plane making contest and well done to Gary who managed to wedge a plane in the flourescent lights it was time to sit down with some party food and watch this years camp video.
From more than 90mins of footage it was ruthlessly edited down to a half hour - helped mind you by the excess coverage of grass, sand & the seniors room in the dark. The highlight for most was either Nick being caught on camera trying to cheat at card bingo or the Captain taking a tumble off the bench after being zapped during the Lightening Game (I hate that game - Dave).
Finially it was the sight of the football team coming on to the pitch tothe soundtrack of Survivors Eye of the Tiger.
That was it time was up and we have finished for the holidays.
See you all back as normal again on Friday January 5th.

44th Invade Glasgow
Last weekend a small group of staff and senior boys visited Glasgow and the 45th Glasgow Company. We travelled down on Saturday and arrived after a unscheduled detour through Cumbernauld.
Straight away it was off to the Hampden stadium tour and the Scottish Football Museum. This was a brilliant visit. The highlight was surely the football shot speed tester where we all were able to measure the speed of our shot as we scored a goal at Hampden -everyone that is except Simon, who managed to shoot over the bar 3 times in a row from about 3 yards out. Top speed was Ryan with a 60mph shot.
After a chipper tea the evening was spent in the companyof our hosts andsome inter-company games and sports. There was a masterteam quiz where the Glasgow teams had to answer questions on Aberdeen and vice versa. The Aberdeen Cheifs team won overall.
Sunday morning was spent at the 45th Bible class folowed by morning worship. The afternoon was spent browsing in Glasgow city centre. We headed off early and finished our weekend with a visit to Pizzhut in Dundee.
We had a fantasic time and our thanks must go to the 45th Glasgow Company and in particular our old friend Simon who arrnaged it all. We look forward to a return trip sometime in the future.

44th are Basketball Champions
Well done to our junior basketball team who won the Battalion tournament last weekend. They faced some tough opposition but came through without losing a game or in fact conceeding any baskets against them. The tournament was held at Dyce primary. A brilliant performance so well done guys.

44th are 5-a-side Champions
Today at the Batallion 5-a-side football competition our Junior team were crowned Junior Champions. They played a fantasticly well winning all their league games, a semi-finla nad the final - all without conceeding any goals. The final was a hard fought match and remained nil-nil at full time. A extra 2 minutes would be played and the 44th struck home a goal with a minute to go.
Deserved Champions and well done to all the team.
The Senior team didn't fare so well - they drew 2 games, lost 1 and won 1. Sadly not enough to come top but they ended up 3rd in the league so not too bad. Well done to the Senior team.
