 
1. Who is able to post news ?
Well, the Company Section officers for a start. But for our new weblog we'd like some of our boys to be involved as well. So if you are currently a member in the 44th Aberdeen Boys' Brigade Company you are eligable to use Blogger.
2. How do I get started ?
To access the weblog you need a logon id & password. To receive these you'll need to send Dave an e-mail saying you'd like to take part. He will then set you up on Blogger and you'll receive an e-mail from them containing your id & password. His e-mail address is on the contacts page. Follow the link from the home page.
3. What then ?
Well you can post news in 2 ways. First you can do it by logging into the Blogger website using your id & password. The website is quite easy and straight forward to use. You just type your news message in then click the 'post & publish' button. There are several Blogger utilities you can download which you can use instead of the website. These are 'BlogBuddy' and 'Blog This'. You must still be connected to the Internet to use these but they are simpler.
4. What is allowed ?
You must remember this is a public weblog. Although its rated as private on Blogger (they don't have a link to us) it is open to anyone who surfs in. Please read, understand and adhere to the privacy policy. Most particularly do not post boys names, addresses, phone numbers, details of meeting times or activities. You must try and keep your news item to a BB or Company related topic. Please also note your name will appear against each message and we are informed whenever a new message appears.
